The Coronavirus pandemic has presented significant health challenges for citizens and institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and has negatively impacted many companies' operations. These events have highlighted the urgent need for accelerated business digitalization across all industries.

Recognizing that digitalization opens new strategic avenues for the business sector, UNDP BiH initiated the DigitalBIZ project and launched the “Digitalna Ekonomija” portal, developed by the App Impact team. The DigitalBIZ project includes the “Digital Pulse” online tool, which evaluates companies’ digital performance and readiness.

To plan for future digital growth, it's essential to understand your current digital standing. You can assess your company's digital performance by completing questionnaires divided into six key business areas:

1. Digital Communication: Evaluate your online presence, including your website, digital marketing, online sales, and internal communication strategies. Identify areas for improvement.
2. Digital Customer Relationships: Ensure proper customer data storage and explore customer relationship management (CRM) software to enhance communication with existing and potential customers.
3. Digital Workforce: Assess the role of your employees in your digital strategy and consider comprehensive human resource management tools to better support your teams.
4. Information and IT Security: Evaluate your business's vulnerability to cyberattacks and implement security measures, including data backup services.
5. Digital Management: Determine your level of data digitalization and explore business intelligence tools to streamline decision-making and enhance business direction.
6. Digital Production and Services: Assess the digitalization of your production and service processes. Learn how investing in technologies like AI and robotics can reduce costs, increase productivity, and improve product quality.

Based on your questionnaire responses, the algorithm calculates your business's digitalization level and provides tailored recommendations for further improvement.

The project also includes collaboration with organizations offering business development services to enhance their digitalization support. DigitalBIZ aims to identify gaps in companies' digital capacities and implement support measures, including training, mentoring, and incentives for digital transformation.

Following successful collaborations on several previous projects, the App Impact team was chosen to design and develop the platform for the DigitalBIZ project. We are proud to contribute to a system that promotes greater digitalization in the business sector of BiH.
